SPB Fans Charity - Cuddalore and Chennai Districts

"Under the guidance and direct monitoring by Shri. SPB, the foundation got into necessary and immediate flood-relief activities.

The team reached out to help the people who lost their means-of-earning after the recent floods. The relief activities were done both at Chennai (Kovilambakkam) and at certain interior villages at the Cuddalore district.

At Cuddalore, the core team executed the relief activities with necessary prior steps. Necessary resource people including a V.A.O was met to know the actual situation and the places where the needy people are still struggling. After the assessments, a village named Silambinathanpet (located about 18 km away from Panruti Taluk) and another place (Pallatheru) were identified. On Dec 27th 2015, Sufficient quantitity of Food Provision items were taken to those villages all the way from Chennai. The trustees Mr. Charan and Mr. Giridhar along with the foundation members distributed the items to the villagers in person. The trustees also spoke to the villagers with real concern to know what else they are in need of, to come back to normal life.

At Chennai, Food provisions were provided to multiple orphanages at different parts of the city. Also, about 1000 families were identified at the flood affected area near Kovilambakkam. On Dec 30th 2015, about 750 families were provided with survival dress materials where Mr. S.P.B. Charan coordinated to a great extent and about 250 families were given the necessary provisions for food. Charities to continue !!
